La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah – Meaning, Benefits & Power

"Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh" translates to "There is no power and no strength except with Allah." This powerful Arabic phrase expresses a deep sense of submission and reliance upon Allah alone. It means that human beings have no ability to change their condition or face life’s challenges without the will and help of Allah. The word "ḥawl" refers to the ability to move or change, and "quwwah" refers to strength or power. Arabic:
